Junior Members Enjoy Summer Carp Success
Two of our junior members recently submitted photographs of carp they caught over the summer.
There were far too many to feature on the website, so I have selected the best two photographs from each angler.
Jack Biswell sent in seven photographs, including three common carp and four mid-double mirror carp.
Ethan Makwana submitted twelve photographs, including five common carp and seven mirror carp.
The first photograph below shows Jack with a fine common carp weighing 22lb 6oz.
Ethan is pictured below with an impressive common carp weighing 23lb 6oz.

Woodfields - October 2026
11 Oct 2026 - Rhian Dickerson sent this picture of Dean Roper's catch and writes "We believe Dean may have got close to the lake record carp tonight with this mirror weighting 27lb caught as we were packing down tonight".
10 Oct 2026- Rhian Dickerson, pictured below with her pink coloured rods and alarms, has joined the club recently and sent these pictures in.
Rhian writes "These are the fish I have caught, the 1st picture a 17lb common and the 2nd picture a lovely 10lb mirror caught on 26th September which was my first fishing session."
"The 3rd, a 23lb common (my new PB) and the 4th picture (both below) showing lovely orange colouring was a 12lb common caught on my second session on 3rd October on peg 32 a couple of hours after a match had finished, just showing not to be put of by a match day."
Rhian adds "I have been helping my fiancè Dean Roper (also featured below) with set up/pack down, bait prep, landing fish and taking pictures for 4.5 years however after coming to this lake I decided to give it a go myself the only rule being I wanted pink rods and they don't disappoint."
Dean has also caught some lovely fish all in very good condition over his sessions. We worked out he caught the same fish today as he did a few weekends ago."

28 Sep 2026 - Andy Ward writes "One of Albie from last Monday putting his inset day to good use - A carp PB at 21lbs 7oz"
27 Sep 2026 - Ian Hart sent these in - caught over the last week. Ian writes "Hello team finally I got lucky- Thursday 18lb 3oz and 13lb and today 14lb 11oz."
27 Sep 2026- Steve Cory writes "I got lucky again with 3 carp plus a bream and a tench this being the best at 13lb 4oz".
19 Sep 2026 -Pat Dunkley is shown below with a superb double‑figure common taken during the match, though unfortunately it did not count towards his final match weight.
