Annual General Meeting

AGM - Thursday 30 May 2024
This year's AGM, held at Woodfields, was attended by 18 members (including 7 committee members).

The meeting was chaired by Pete Williams, our President, and reports were given by the Chairman - Barry Smith, Treasurer - Simon Bumstead and Match Secretary - James Cavendish.
Although no specific resolutions were passed, Adam Gibbard, Pete Callow, Mick Powell, David Powell, Richard Burdon, Dick Hutchin and Mark Fenning were all re- elected to serve on the committee.

The meeting was advised of the following Rule changes which had been agreed by the committee.
Rule B18 changed to read
""All members fishing association waters must have a valid Environment Agency Rod License."

New Rules
C14 "The use of “The Magic Twig” - Self Hooking Device is prohibited on Association Waters."

E8 "Members should not fish outside their swims and members should observe the half way rule for pegs with no island opposite them. When fishing pegs at either end of the lake members should be cognizant of those members already fishing. Members should be courteous to others fishing at all times. "

The next AGM will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 29 May 2025 at the Woodfields Lodge, Woodfields Lake.

Club Rules

Welcome to the Buckingham & District Angling Association Club Rules.

The objectives of the Association are to:

• Protect, preserve, and where possible, improve local fisheries for the benefit of local anglers
  
  
• Prevent pollution, poaching and any practices which bring angling into disrepute
  
  
• Encourage, help and instruct members, especially juniors, in the art of responsible angling
  
  
• Provide and encourage all types of responsible angling for members.
