Sunday 10 Nov - James Bayley writes "I knew there was a big fish hanging around by the floating island from Peg 11. This was caught on Sunday morning (10/11) about 8am – I got my scales out and it weighed in it at 22lb 5oz – a proper chunk!"
Woodfields - Autumn Carp Caught by Our Juniors
Our junior members are having a great time catching carp.
James Allport writes "My Son Zach (junior member pictured below) caught his pb carp this morning(10 Nov) at 8.30 an immaculate mirror weighing 21lb 5oz. He wanted me to forward the pic for the website/facebook"

Matt Whincup writes "My son, Josh (The Perch Whisperer) caught these pound+ Perch on the first day of November at Woodfields (1lb, 11oz & 1lb, 8oz). To say he was chuffed, is an understatement"
Woodfields - October 2024
Steve "lucky" Cory writes "This is a 10 lbs carp from Woodfields yesterday (Sunday 20 Oct) with another at 7lb 3oz plus 3 bream 4lb 0oz, 4lb 3oz and 2lb 1oz and a skimmer. I got lucky, Ian lost one when it went around the island.".
Steve Cory writes "Yesterday (Sunday 6 Oct) at Woodfields I got lucky again with 6 carp 15lb, 13lb, 8lb, 8lb, 6lb, and 2lb plus a bream 4lb with 2 skimmers giving me a total 51lb".

Sunday 22 Sept - Steve Cory writes "I got lucky again and had this 4lb 5oz tench with another and 2 small carp. From peg 1 at Woodfields on Sunday".

Thursday 29 August - Russ McFarlane sent this photo in and writes "My lad Charlie played an awesome hand and pulled out a 22lb mirror today. We've had a terrible run of luck catching anything of note, until today when previous slow days were forgotten. He was using a feeder with a peppermint wafter as bait on an entry level rod and reel given to him by his uncle a few years ago - it seemed to do the trick! The mirror was followed up with a tench and bream to complete the set." Well done Charlie!
Great Ouse - August 2024
Wednesday 28 August - Frank Thompson pictured below with this surprisingly large Brown Trout weighing in at 3lb 10oz. This is the largest one we have seen / had reported on this particular stretch. The fish had been pestering Frank's catches for a couple of hours and was thought initially to be a possibly a large perch or even a pike. However, Frank finally managed to hook the fish and after a good few minutes of playing the fish on quite light tackle managed to land it with the trusty help of his ghillie.

Tuesday 27 August - Malcolm Allford sent this in - though landing this required Malcolm to strip down and wade in to finally net the fish which weighed in at 19lb 11oz. Nice fish.

Thursday 9 August - Steve "of team lucky" writes "I had a brilliant evening session at Woodfields yesterday. I had 9 tench with this one at 4lb 4oz and 6 carp best 7lb 4oz plus 4 skimmers. I think I got lucky again."

Sunday 14 July - Adam Gibbard writes "Had this lump of a tench from Woodfields Sunday night whilst England were playing. Nice and peaceful. I think I found what’s been eating all the boilies!"
Friday 5 July - Adam Gibbard writes " Good evening, look at what our beautiful Woodfields can produce when she wants to! Unfortunately I was the only one on the lake at the time and trying to take a photo of that huge moving target wasn't easy. Best I could do."

Sunday 30 June - Steve Cory writes "This was my best bream at 4 lb 5oz. With another at 3lb 13oz and 9 tench Plus 2 carp at 6lb 5oz and 9lb 4oz. Not a bad evening session at Woodfields"
