Great Ouse December 2023
Steve Cory writes (16 Dec 2023) "This afternoon I got lucky again with catching 4 chub 3lb 8oz, 3lb, 2lb 14oz and 1lb 8oz. (best two pictured below). All caught on bread flake at Lenborough"
Steve Cory writes (23 Dec 2023) "Only 4 chub today mate these 3 are the best 3.12 2.14 2.8 and 1.4 from Lenborugh."

16lb and 9lb
Steve Cory writes (5 Nov 23) "Yesterday I fished peg 18 at Woodfields after driving over to Wappenham to find there was a match on. So I sat on peg 18 for 6 hours and I had a skimmer and this 3lb 5oz bream . I was the only one to catch 7 others blanked . Even the best of us can have a bad day."
Woodfields October 2023
Steve Cory sent these two photos in and wrote "I got lucky again at Woodfield this afternoon. I had 2 bites and 2 carp at 7lb 14oz and 14lb 4 oz."
Woodfields September 2023
Steve Cory wrote " I got lucky again at Woodfields today (24th) with 3 carp starting with a 14lb 5oz, the 7lb 3oz and to finish with a 24lb 5oz (pictured) my best for this year. All on small bollies".
Steve Cory wrote "This afternoon (17th) I started with a tench at 1lb 12oz then the carp moved in. The first was 13lb 15oz, then a 16lb 11oz, then 11oz, and 16lb 1oz -(best pictured below). Also I think the carp may be spawning at Woodfields. The last one pulled my rod in only just managed to grab it"
Woodfields September 2023
Pete Wilkins sent this in and wrote "Hi Simon, a lovely 14lb common carp caught by Patrick today at Woodfields."
Stev wrote "I got lucky again with the first carp at 17lb and the other 20lb 1oz plus 3 tench 2lb, 2lb 4oz and 2lb 10oz."
Pete Wilkins sent this in and wrote "Hi Simon, caught a perfect Crucian from peg 33 today (4th). On the waggler, single white maggot. First one I have ever caught"
Steve Cory sent this in and wrote " Hi, this a tench at 2.10 lbs from peg 14 Woodfield plus 4 skimmers,pretty good session all in all".
Pat Dunkley wrote " Unlucky to connect with this little beauty fishing the Friday Cup match at Woodfields today, but I'm not disappointed what a lovely looking Carp." For those that don't know mirror carp and common carp do not count in matches.
Woodfields August 2023
"I managed to capture this photo of Simon Ashmead (above), from Aylesbury, landing this small and in perfect condition mirror cup on a Saturday morning in August. The same day I caught the following two crucians, the first I've caught since their re-stocking a couple of years ago." writes Simon Bumstead.
Woodfields July 2023
Steve Cory wrote "Yesterday (30th) at Woodfields I had 4 carp. 18.2, 14.3, 16.5 and 9.8 plus 4 tench - 2.12 was the best and a bream 2.1 with 3 skimmers. It’s looks like they have switched on again or I have I just got lucky again."
Steve Cory wrote "Not so good this Sunday afternoon (23rd). I only had 7 skimmers,2 tench and this 3.10lb bream. All from peg 18 at Woodfields."
Steve Cory (who has a lot of luck - hhmm) wrote
"I got lucky again at Woodfields (16 July) with this 15.14 lbs carp pictured and a 5.6lb one. Also 4 bream best was 4.2 lbs with 5 tench the one pictured at 2.6 lbs."
Steve Cory wrote "I got lucky again with this 16.5 lbs Woodfield carp (9th July)."
Roger Dunklin is pictured below with this fine common weighing at 24lb - a PB - caught on the 6th using luncheon meat.
David Kirk on 3 July wrote "New member 1st carp out for me after 4 unsuccessful trips. Caught this lovely comman on peg 26 on the bottom with fake corn scatter of boilie and pellet 15.5lb Well happy!"
Woodfields June 2023
Ian Hart sent these two photos in on Sunday (25th) - and wrote "Third time lucky - lost one in the reeds and another in the middle- then this one - they literally swim hard into the island, jump like mad to get free - you'd think their Merlin".

Steve Cory, fresh back from a fishing trip to Holland, wrote "Today (Sunday 11th) I had 8 carp and 2 tench. Best tench was 2lb 8oz, best mirror was 19lb 6oz and a decent common at 12lb 8oz. Giving me a total of 78lb 9oz".
