Friday Cup Series Match 4 - Result
The fourth match in the series took place on Friday 31 July 2026, with 21 members competing.

Barry Smith secured first place with 18lb 0oz from peg 12. Alan Green came second with 17lb 0oz from peg 11, and third place went to Richard Latimer, who weighed in 10lb 7oz from peg 28.

Bryan & Alan Bedward Memorial Series Match 3
The third match in the series took place on Saturday 25 July 2026, with 22 members competing.

Alan Green secured top spot from Peg 13, weighing in an excellent 10lb 6oz.
Richard Latimar finished second from Peg 9 with 10lb 0oz, and Barry Smith took third place from Peg 24 with 9lb 9oz.

Thames Valley Police Cup - Junior Trophy Result
18 July 2026 - Four young anglers fished the match. Freddie Newton-Bird won the match with an impressive 7lb 10oz, including a 3lb 3oz tench, which is a fantastic weight for a two hour match.

The third match in the series took place on Friday 17 July 2026, with 18 members competing.

Alan Green secured first place with 23lb 4oz from peg 28. Jack Robinson came second with 21lb 13oz from peg 22, and third place went to Dick Cullen, who weighed in 17lb 6oz from peg 14.

Seniors Cup Result
Ron Snaith won the Seniors Cup (formerly the OAP Cup) with a combined weight of 37lb 7oz across the three matches.
Pat Dunkley took second place with 31lb 6oz, and Jack Robinson finished third with 31lb 2oz.

Bryan & Alan Bedward Memorial Series Match 1
Barry Smith set a stunning new match‑lake record with 38lb 10oz from peg 8 in the opening round of the Bryan and Alan Bedward Memorial Series, fished on Saturday 27 June 2026.
It was an exceptional performance from our Club Chairman and a memorable way to begin the series and puts him in a great position to also win the Summer Cup.

The next two highest weights were:
Ron Snaith with 10lb 6oz from peg 11
Dick Cullen with 9lb 15oz from peg 6.

Junior Match - Woodfields
The annual Junior Open Trophy match took place on Saturday 13 June at Woodfields. Ollie Davie (pictured right) won the Junior Open Trophy with 8oz, and his brother Charlie (pictured left) won the Pete Callow Trophy for “Most Fish Caught”.

BBQ Day Match Result -13 June 2026
The annual BBQ Day Club Match was won by Alan Green with 13lb 3oz from peg 22. In second place was Barry Smith with 12lb 4oz from peg 15. In third place was Dick Cullen with 9lb 13oz from peg 18.

Jamie Ballinger Memorial Trophy - Result
The Jamie Ballinger Memorial Trophy match was held on Saturday 6 June 2026, with 22 members taking part.

A total of £110 was raised for the British Heart Foundation, so a big thank you to everyone who attended and supported the match.

John Shepley won the match with 6lb 14oz from peg 7. Dave White secured second place with 4lb 6oz from peg 25, and Pat Dunkley finished third with 4lb 0oz from peg 12.

President's Cup Series Result
Friday 22 May saw 16 members line up for the final match of the President’s Cup.

Dave White went into the decider with 34 points and a healthy 4.5‑point cushion over Ron Snaith. Despite not scoring in the last match, his earlier consistency meant he couldn’t be caught. The late charge came from Jack Robinson, whose third‑place finish earned him 8 points and lifted him to 33.5 — agonisingly close to snatching the title. Ron Snaith completed the podium with a total of 32.5 points.

Neil Stopps won the match with a very impressive 23lb 11oz from peg 10. In second place was Steve Pedder with 8lb 13oz, from peg 15. In third place was Jack Robinson with 8lb from peg 19.
