Introduction to Pike Fishing - 2018
The first coaching session of 2018, an introduction to Pike fishing, was held at St James lake, Brackley on Saturday 10th March with two fine specimens being caught.
The event was well attended with nine youngsters taking part. The session didn't come alive until 15 minutes before the end when young Leon Haines, pictured below with coach Dane Wood, claimed the Best Fish of the day award with his catch weighing in at 10lb 4oz. This was fish was caught with a lure rig.

At the same time, at the other end of the lake, young Thomas Alexander, pictured below,caught a 8lb 9oz specimen using a deadbait rig.

Second Predator Fishing Coaching Session - 2018
The second predator coaching session of 2018 was held at Stowe on Saturday 17th November with a number of  fine pike specimens being caught.
The event was well attended with six youngsters taking part, all had previuosly attained, as a minimum, the Angling Trust Cast level 1 award.
The session included both dead bait and lure fishing techniques. The BDAA wish to thank the National Trust for allowing the event to take place.
